We Reach 101 Reasons to Elect A Progressive President

This morning, the team of Irregular Times writers reached a milestone, writing the 101st reason to elect a progressive President in 2008. These 101 reasons are part of a larger list that we are assembling this year. Last year, the Irregular Times staff made the bet that we could assemble a list of 2,008 reasons to elect a progressive President in 2008 by the end of 2007. The terms of the challenge are this: If the Irregular Times writers do not succeed in gathering 2,008 reasons by the end of 2007, then we will make a donation of 2,008.00 dollars to the campaign of every Republican candidate. Supporting Republican presidential candidates is the last thing we want to do, so we have quite a motivation to succeed in this effort.

Congratulations to our writers for making it this far. Now, at five percent of our goal, we just have to do the same thing 19 more times in less than twelve months. We’d best get cracking, then.

The people of Oregon know better than to fall for the fearmongering of Bush and the Republicans. Oregon votes for freedom, not fear. Oregon votes Democrat, and this license plate frame shows it.
Delaware Anti-war Button
The peaceful citizens of Delaware wear this button to show their opposition to war, in spite of the big pork barrel defense spending in their state. Delaware is anti-war, and proudly so.
