Why Won't John McCain Repudiate Loren Davis?

The email from Celeste and Loren Davis has been exposed as a thorough sham. It attacks Barack Obama with such outrageous and outlandish fervor that it could only be believed by the most gullible or by people absolutely desperate to find anything to attack Obama with. Loren Davis Ministries has now become infamous as a charlatan faith healer operation that has spent years taking advantage of vulnerable people, spreading wild-eyed conspiracy theories about how the NFL is in cahoots with Satan, and how public elementary schools across the United States are part of an international plan to pave the way for the coming of the Antichrist. Celeste and Loren Davis are way out on the lunatic fringe, and anyone who allows themselves to become associated with them risks losing credibility themselves. That leads me to a very important question for the 2008 presidential election: Why is John McCain allowing himself to become associated with Loren Davis? It's mostly supporters of John McCain who are spreading the nasty slurs originating from Loren Davis. They're doing so in order to try to help the McCain for President campaign by damaging Barack Obama. They know that even though the attacks from Loren Davis are absolutely insane, some gullible voters will believe them, and that those gullible voters could tip a close election in John McCain's favor. John McCain's presidential campaign must know by now about this slanderous, racist and religiously-bigoted email campaign being done for McCain's sake. If John McCain really wants to run a clean campaign, he has an ethical obligation to come out publicly and denounce Loren Davis and the vicious false rumors he is spreading. So far, John McCain has not denounced Loren Davis at all. Why? Does John McCain actually believe Loren Davis Ministries, and think that there are satanic conspiracies all across the United States? I can't believe that. The only conclusion I can come to is that John McCain's campaign, knowing about these outlandish slurs, wants them to continue. Until John McCain denounces Loren Davis, his promise to run a clean campaign looks like a bald-faced lie.
