Greenpeace Activists Shot At in IndonesiaThe politics of peace, freedom and the environment came together in one place this week, as Greenpeace activists bringing a banner reading "Coal Kills Climate" to the top of a cooling tower on a coal-burning power plant in Java, Indonesia were threatened by security guards holding knives and firing guns in their direction. The actions of the Greenpeace protesters may have been a form of illegal trespassing, but they were by no means violent. In a free and peaceful society, however, people are not fired at with guns merely for engaging in acts of peaceful civil disobedience. Coal kills the climate, but coal burning corporations ought not to try to kill anti-coal protesters. (Source: Solve Climate, December 4, 2007)
Georgia may be in the South, but that doesn't mean that all Georgians think with a backwards attitude. Show that you are a genuine Georgia progressive with this bumper sticker and your vote.
Check out these awesome sweatshop-free t-shirts about the environment.

We made this antiwar bumper sticker because the road is the best place to make a stand in a big state like Idaho. We've had enough of the killing & the waste. Idaho stands against war.
United we stand is the rallying cry of the Republican nationalists, but these postcards reveal what they really want to unite us under: More torture, war, power, security, and fear, but less liberty.
