George W. Bush Refuses to Rule Out Bribery For Presidential Library

February 28th, 2008 · No Comments

President George W. Bush was just asked, given the concern that he may be receiving secret bribes during his presidency in the form of contributions to his presidential library, if he would disclose the names of the people and corporations who are paying him money into the presidential library fund.

George W. Bush refused to commit to doing so. He said,

“Some people like to give and don’t particularly like their names to be disclosed… so we’ll take that into consideration.”

Those are the actual words that came out of President Bush’s mouth. He plans on taking money from people and from corporations, while President, and not disclosing where the money is coming from.

Will the American people allow such open bribery to take place? Probably. All indications are that Americans are more concerned about whether Michael Jackson will be able to keep the Neverland Ranch.
