John McCain Paid Off By Corporate Special Interests

February 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

John McCain has lost touch with Main Street America. He seems to have become so busy flying around the country on corporate jets and meeting with corporate executives, being driven in luxury cars from private jets to convention halls that he has forgotten that most Americans don’t live in that way. He has forgotten that elite corporate executives are the most powerful special interest in America.

That’s the only explanation I can come up with for John McCain’s claim that he doesn’t take any special interests money. In New Hampshire, Senator McCain actually said, “Everybody says that they’re against the special interests. I’m the only one the special interests don’t give any money to.”

Special interests don’t give any money to John McCain?!? Bull.

The top two sources of money for the John McCain for President campaign are Merrill Lynch and Citigroup. What kind of fool is John McCain, to claim that Wall Street investment banking firms, insurance and credit card corporations are not special interests?

An isolated, out-of-touch fool who doesn’t understand the needs of everyday small business.

Merrill Lynch and Citigroup lobby for the interests of top investors and gigantic corporations. They lobby against the interests of small Main Street business owners…

…and John McCain is right there with them, giving the Wall Street special interests a great big bear hug as he takes their money.
